Taverna Server runs workflows in a server environment (without a graphical user interface).
There is a range of documentation available depending on how you wish to install it or how you want to use it:
- Installation and administration
- Using Taverna Server
- Within the BioVeL project a new feature has been added to the Taverna Server that allows passing user data to a run during the middle of its execution and not only at the beggining of it as it was the only option we had previusly by using input ports. This new feature is the Interaction, and as its name indicates, it allows to have interactive workflows. With it, a client can launch a new run in the taverna server and by quering its REST API, it can get the url of the ATOM feed where the interaction pages for that run are published, so the client can present to the user the active interaction page so the user can pass new data to the run and continue its execution.
- For developers
Taverna Server is developed by the myGrid team in the School of Computer Science at the University of Manchester.
